The Silversea, Silver Discoverer is set to sail on March 1^st. This is the newest Silverseas ship in the fleet. This boat is small in comparisons to many other cruise ships. Itâ??s only able to accommodate 128 passengers. However, itâ??s the perfect size to navigate the Pacific Ocean.

Even though the ship is small it doesnâ??t lack in amenities for passengers. All of the passenger rooms are actually suites and each one has a butler service that is available. In addition there is a bar and refrigerator that are fully stocked based on the guestâ??s needs. Thereâ??s also a flat screen TV and internet access is available for a fee. Guests can utilize a daily turn down service of their bedâ??s Pratesi linens. All of the suites have an ocean view for guests to enjoy.

Onboard Activities:

The ship has a pool for guests to swim in. Part of the ship also has a glass bottom which allows guests to view some of the underwater marine life in the area. Thereâ??s also a massage and fitness area available for use. For those that just want to kick back and relax the ship has several luxurious lounges as well as an open bar.

Destinations:

The Silver Discoverer visits a lot of remote destinations that many ships simply cannot go to because of their size. Some of these destinations include East and Southeast Asia, Australia, Micronesia, New Zealand and the Russian Far East. The Silver Discoverer has a fleet of 12 Zodiacs, which are in essence small boats that passengers can go out on and enjoy wetlands and shores that are usually pretty isolated. This ship allows guests to get an up close and see destinations that are generally pretty desolate and not traveled too by many.

Dining Options:

The Silver Discoverer offers 4 different dining options. The Restaurant has open seating and diners can eat whenever they wish. It features international and contemporary cuisine. The Discoverer Lounge is open for breakfast and lunch. It features a lighter menu for those that donâ??t want to eat something too rich. The Grille is located by the pool and features foods like pizza during the lunch hours and steak at night. Itâ??s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In suite dining allows guests to relax in their rooms and have their breakfast, lunch and dinner served to them there. This service is available from 6 a.m. until 11p.m. daily.
